Raymond A. Scheiter

Regional Superintendent of Schools

A "real" school superintendent in the Adams County area until his retirement, Ray brings over 37 years of experience as an educator to this position. This fall Ray begins his tenth year in the office.

 

Wilfred K. Flesner

Assistant Regional Superintendent

Ken Flesner holds a BS in Education., an MS in Education and a Certificate of Advanced Study with a Superintendent Endorsement. He has been an Elementary teacher, a Jr. High Principal, a High School Principal, an Elementary School Supervisor, and a District Director of Transportation, before taking on the responsibilities of the Assistant Superintendent in Regional Office of Education #1. Ken's goal is to continue to assist schools to provide the best possible education to all the students of all the people.

 

Judi Sutton

Attendance Specialist - Pike County

Judi Sutton is a life long resident of Pike County. Her experience includes 13 years of experience at the Two Rivers Office of Public Officials in Pittsfield. Judi is familiar with local resources and services offered in Pike County and is ready to help students in need. She wants children to actively take advantage of the great education offered to them in the Pike County school system.

 

Wayne Hummel

Attendance Program Coordinator, Truancy Officer

Before joining the ROE staff in 2000, Wayne worked at Quincy’s Chaddock School for 15 years coordinating agency services with DCFS, the Adams County court system, the Department of Corrections and other agencies that serve at-risk youth. He has also been a foster parent for medically, emotionally and behaviorally challenged children for 8 years. Educationally, he holds a BA degree in Sociology and a BA in Psychology from Quincy University. These past experiences have given Wayne the skills needed to successfully fulfill his mission as the Truancy Officer for Adams County.

 

Vicke Lierly

Attendance Specialist - Adams County

Vicke joined the Truancy Alternative Optional Educational Program (TAOEP) in September of 2003. Recently, she graduated with highest honors from Quincy University, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services. Vicke has previously worked within Mooseheart Child City, Volunteers of America, and Chaddock Child and Family Center. Her work with abused and neglected adolescents have led her to support the mission of the truancy team, which is to help children stay in school and become successful in life.

 

Dale Gasparovic

ROPES Coordinator, Quincy Office

Dale's BS degree in Sociology is from Illinois College, his MS in Educational Counseling is from Western Illinois University. From 1996-1999, Dale served as a preventionist working in the Community Mental Health Center of Fulton/McDonough Counties. Later he joined the team at Adams County Recovery Resources and worked there until 2000, when he became part of InTouch. Dale feels that education is the key to solving all of life's problems.

 

Jo Lynn Stow

ROPES Community Based Specialist, Quincy Office

Jo Lynn provides assistance to substance abuse prevention specialists in the program's 15-county area. She has a B.S. degree in business administration/economics, along with secondary teacher certification, from Culver-Stockton College. Previously she worked as a high school and community college teacher for 18 years.

 

Karla M. Richmond

Program Manager, Child & Family Connections

This agency assists children 0-3 who have developmental delays. Staff members work with families throughout West Central Illinois. Karla is a graduate of Blessing Hospital Medical Laboratory School. She holds a BS degree from Hannibal-LaGrange College and an MBA from William Woods University. Karla has worked as a technician at Blessing Hospital Laboratory, been an office manager for several International Eye Care locations, and since 1995, has been a part of the ROE Program Managing CFC. Karla's goal is to insure that all area children 0-3 with developmental delays are evaluated, assessed and are able to make a smooth transition into the appropriate school placement.
